Aspen - Hand formed Bronze Heart Charm Necklace

This elegant series includes fashion, designer jewelry that is simple yet makes a pretty statement.

The focal of this necklace is a hand-formed bronze heart (1" x 1-1/4"). This heart was created with BRONZclay*. This metal clay was conditioned, rolled and shaped. After careful drying, the clay was refined and kiln fired for several hours. The resulting solid bronze piece was then tumbled and polished to achieve a brushed effect.

The heart sways beneath a pretty green Aventurine rondelle that is cushioned between 2 handmade bronze discs. These discs were made using the procedure described above. The entire pendant assembly is approximately 2.5" long.

The pendant is suspended from antiqued brass cable chain and is approximately 18" long.

*BRONZclay consists of 11% tin, 89% copper, water and non-toxic binding materials. The binding materials vaporize completely during the kiln-firing process, leaving a solid bronze piece with a density 90% that of cast bronze. This precious metal is very hard and durable - making it perfect for jewelry!
