Bronze Heart Earrings

The focal of each earring is a solid Bronze heart charm (5/8" x 1/2"). These charms started out as Bronze Clay (BRONZclay*). I conditioned, rolled, textured, cut, dried and refined the metal clay. Following several hours of firing in a kiln, the resulting solid Bronze pieces were polished. Finally, I applied a Silver metallic patina, giving the charms a mixed metal effect (i.e., the silver patina is in the crevices of the design, while the raised portions are a golden hue). I have re-polished and sealed the surfaces so that this effect will be maintained.

The hearts sway beneath a duo of Turquoise Jasper rondelles separated by 14KT. Gold Fill beads. The ear wires are 14KT. Gold Fill shepherd hooks.

These earrings are 1-7/8" from the top of the ear wire to the bottom tip of the dangle.
