Wax Seal Hand-Stamped Bronze Initial Necklace

The focal of this necklace is a handcrafted bronze round pendant (7/8" diameter). This pendant started out as BRONZclay*. The clay was then rolled, stamped with a "wax seal" inspired initial stamp**, dried, shaped to resemble a rustic wax seal circle, and kiln fired for several hours. After burnishing and polishing, the pendant was antiqued and hand-polished to highlight the intricate design and create an air of antiquity.

The pendant is suspended from a 18" - antiqued silver plated cable chain that closes with silver plated elements. The pendant is accompanied by a pretty dangle consisting of a glass pearl bead topped with an oxidized silver filigree bead cap.

*BRONZclay consists of 11% tin, 89% copper, water and non-toxic binding materials. The binding materials vaporize completely during the kiln-firing process, leaving a solid bronze piece with a density 90% that of cast bronze. This precious metal is very hard and durable - making it perfect for jewelry!
